A Wake for “The Seanachai”

P.G. Holyfield — Mon, 15 Mar 2010 14:38:54 +0000

My good friend Patrick McLean over at The Seanachai (How to Succeed in Evil, Flinchy and the Mexican Show Truck) is doing his last episode of his podcast live on Stickam (link to the show will be posted as soon as I get it). The live show will be on Wednesday, March 24, at 9:00 pm Eastern time.

As a good Irishman (at least a 1/4 of me, anyways), I’ll be helping him bring The Seanachai to a fitting end. He’ll be sharing a true story of gun play, injury, and I’m sure he will deliver it with the humor and style that has made The Seanachai one of the best fiction/essay podcasts ever produced.

Join us for the fun.

The Land of Caern Vidcast – Ep. 1 – Part 2

P.G. Holyfield — Sat, 10 Oct 2009 03:27:12 +0000

On October 7th Patrick McLean and I did a live reading of his Tales of the Children short story, “The Old God and the Sea.” After the reading we did a Q&A with Chooch (Chooch was on skype).

To make the video a little more fun, especially since Patrick’s story was a bit of a comedy, I’ve added some pop-up elements that hopefully add some humor to the video, and it also helps those watching the video understand what was going on in the Stickam chat room before the reading and during the Q&A.

This video is Pt. 2 (the Q&A). I tried to include something for everyone in this video. Give it a watch and see what I mean.

For those that want separate feeds for audio and video, that is coming soon, along with a site redesign.

So we enter a new realm with the Murder at Avedon Hill podcast… our first vidcast.

On October 7th Patrick McLean and I did a live reading of his Tales of the Children short story, “The Old God and the Sea.” After the reading we did a Q&A with Chooch (Chooch was on skype).

This video is Pt. 1 (the intro and the reading). Pt. 2 will be released in the feed tomorrow.

Flinchy and the Mexican Show Truck, Pt. 4

P.G. Holyfield — Thu, 08 Jan 2009 02:29:07 +0000

Patrick McLean released Pt. 4 of “Flinchy and the Mexican Show Truck” over on The Seanachai. This is the last episode of ‘season’ 1. Season 2 is already in the works (probably out no earlier than the end of February).

I don’t want to clutter this feed with more non-MaAH episodes right now, so please head on over and give all four episodes a listen on Patrick’s site, or subscribe to The Seanachai. It is one of the best podcasts in production today, so you might as well give it a try!

Flinchy and the Mexican Show Truck, Pt. 3

P.G. Holyfield — Wed, 07 Jan 2009 01:30:51 +0000

Patrick McLean released Pt. 3 of “Flinchy and the Mexican Show Truck” over on The Seanachai. In all honesty, this is the best of the three episodes so far… in the zone

I don’t want to clutter this feed with more non-MaAH episodes right now, so please head on over and give Pt. 3 a listen on Patrick’s site, or subscribe to The Seanachai. It is one of the best podcasts in production today, so you might as well give it a try!

Flinchy and the Mexican Show Truck, Pt. 2

P.G. Holyfield — Tue, 16 Dec 2008 03:54:02 +0000

Patrick McLean released Pt. 2 of “Flinchy and the Mexican Show Truck” over on The Seanachai. Flinchy makes his first appearance (the one and only Tee Morris), as does my wife Liza, playing herself (and she has the best line in the whole darn thing).

I don’t want to clutter this feed with more non-MaAH episodes right now, so please head on over and give Pt. 2 a listen on Patrick’s site, or subscribe to The Seanachai. It is one of the best podcasts in production today, so you might as well give it a try!
