Man! I wrote a comment here and then it glitched out when I went to post it. It was a good comment too. (*pout*). I loved this episode. The extra effects were really good. If it’s not a huge amount of extra work to put it together I would keep it. Your original production values were very high already however so the increase in my enjoyment may not be with the increase in your workload. The cliffhanger is frustrating and wonderful all at the same time. Since you are going to post the next episode tomorrow I won’t become too upset. (I know, I know, wishful thinking. These things take time.) As always a great story and a great podcast.
With much respect,
Alexgone
Im sorry Mr. Holyfield, my mind tends to over-exaggerate the words I hear, or read, in a story. Especially when Im really diggin on a story. The “extras” didnt work well for me, they fell short of my imagined sounds. The sounds I hear in your writing, the words you use to describe a scene and even your tone when youre reading.
Its a great story and I have just recently caught up. I (literally) cant wait to see, or hear rather, how badly Arrin slices up Rondellus Marx!
Joe
Thanks guys! And just the varying opinions I expected to get. The f/x will not be heavy again until ep. 40, but 40-42… might be too much for Joe!!
Hi Mr. Holyfield, enjoying your story very much. A real cliffhanger. Sound effects did not work too well for me. I found some of the dialog difficult to catch and had to listen to the podcast twice to see if I could catch the words.
Still can not wait to see what happens. You’re doing a great job. Maureen in NZ
HEY PG (see i got the name right, but then i was typing it not saying it)
Sorry i haven’t been here recently, just dropping a note to say I am still here and anxiously awaiting the next episode as soon as one is posted. I was planning on getting the book after the podcast was done, but daughter has convinced me otherwise. AND i had misplaced my t-shirt BEFORE i got a photot of me in it, wifey found it and will get pic off soonest, or at least before i misplace it again…. Great work, Patrick, love the f/x, love the voice talents you have, and the story, well, if it got any better, they’d have to shoot me…. (that’s a good thing)laters my friend,
Thomas, your biggest fan (at least after nick)
Just getting around to listening to ep 32 and i’m really digging the audio effects, very nice work PG. I admit that it does take just a little away from my imagination filling in the gaps, but at the same time it makes the story a little more real, as if i’m there with the do gooders battling the black hats.
Keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll keep looking forward to some special effects sprinkled into the story as well.
